SpyHunter is easy to use and seems to effectively find spyware and adware on your hard drive but it is lacking in several features.

SpyHunter does offer the ability to scan certain parts of your computer. For example: All, Memory, Cookies, Files, and Registry. Other than that, there are virtually no other options. It does not offer real time monitoring or control of spyware components. It just detects and deletes existing spyware. It does have rollback capabilities, in the event you accidentally remove something vital. There is no automatic update feature (only manual) or scheduled scanning capabilities. It also won't scan removable media.

While scan speed has improved over previous versions, SpyHunter still runs slower than other anti-spyware apps. 

The help button on this product gives a very basic usage tutorial, but it doesn't go into depth on any of the features. The home website offers a FAQs page about the features, along with email and phone number to contact their technical support. When we tried using the email support, we got a quick response, but that hardly justifies the high price for fewer features.

Desipite the cool name that evokes memories of playing Spy Hunter on my Commodore 64, you would be better off going with another product for the money. It is slow and offers very few features compared to other spyware detectors out there. It does come with a free popup blocker, but that's not enough to justify the cost.
